Turkey visa for Algerian citizens: age, exemptions and e-Visa

Your application depends on the travel document, purpose and trip dates. These are the checks for a passport from Algeria.
Who is exempt with an Algerian passport?
For tourist visits, the Turkish Ministry provides an exemption below 15 and above 50, up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Previous stays count. Passport type, purpose and dates still need checking.
“Above 50” must not be replaced by “50 and over”. The tested ages of 15, 18, 35 and 50 have access to the conditional e-Visa route. For exempt travellers, the portal displayed 30 days while the Ministry states 90: request assessment for stays exceeding 30 days.
Age ranges and the application route
- Below 15 or above 50: tourist exemption, up to 90 days in 180.
- Official ranges 15–18 and 35–50: conditional e-Visa route with an accepted supporting document; boundary cases tested in the portal.
- Ages 19–34: consular route; French residence does not itself establish e-Visa eligibility.
- Ages 15, 18, 35 or 50: tested portal cases allow conditional e-Visa applications.
Conditional e-Visa and French residence
Eligible age ranges must also meet supporting-document and travel conditions. The Ministry describes a one-month single-entry e-Visa. A qualifying French residence permit may be supporting evidence, but does not remove the age requirement.
For example, at 25 a French residence permit does not automatically open the e-Visa route. At 40 it allows that route to be assessed with all other requirements. An exempt 10-year-old tourist does not need to buy an e-Visa because a parent applies.
When the consular route applies
Identify the mission responsible for your place of residence and purpose of travel. Obtain its appointment and document instructions. Applications in France and Algeria may have different local arrangements.
The Paris consulate’s note covers identity, residence, activity, resources, transport, accommodation and insurance documents for relevant categories. Its consular checklist must not automatically become an e-Visa upload checklist.
A family with different ages
For a 40-year-old parent, a 16-year-old teenager and a 10-year-old child, assess three separate situations. The first two may use conditional e-Visas with their own supporting evidence; the youngest may be tourist-exempt. Do not order three e-Visas by default.
Supporting documents and passport validity
Where required, check a valid visa or residence permit issued by a Schengen country, the United States, the United Kingdom or Ireland against the official portal’s exact conditions. French residence is not a separate blanket exemption. A foreign e-Visa must not be assumed equivalent to accepted supporting evidence.
